What the cluck? Indonesian farmers discover odd chillies that look like feathers
These unusual chili plants owned by farmers in Indonesia look like feathers, as seen in this footage filmed on October 30 in Agam Regency, West Sumatra.
According to Rahmat, the farmer, the taste of chilies isn't spicy but tends to be bitter as the taste of plant stems or leaves.
When he first discovered it, he saw that these chilies were like a virus covered with hair or antennae. He hopes that this chili is a sign of the Covid-19 pandemic ending soon.
Meanwhile, the Agam Regency Agriculture Office, explained to the media that the chilies found were a common phenomenon that occurs due to cross-breeding, the influence of pesticides, and climate change that trigger mutations in chilies.
Experts say these chilies will be normal after another cycle of reproduction.
