Reshma, seven-year-old daughter of Mohammad Qasim, a resident of Jeevangarh in Aligarh in state of Uttar Pradesh was going to buy grocery on Tuesday. She was attacked by a pack of about 12 dogs without any provocation. They continued to attack even when she fell to the ground. They dragged her around as well. Luckily, a few men heard her shouts for help and ran to help her. They chased away the dogs and took her to Malkhan Singh District Hospital, where she received treatment for bites and scratches especially on her legs and was sent home to her family.

Local Councilor Shahid Malik of ward number 57 said that he has requested the city commissioner several times to catch the stray dogs, but there has been no response sp far. Earlier also these stray dogs had attacked children, according to him.
