Panic ensued among the locals after they spotted a jumbo on the road amid the vehicles in eastern India's West Bengal on November 19. The incident took place in the Salboni village, located in the Paschim Medinipur district.

Visuals feature the elephant standing in the middle of a road and scanning the region for a meal. Later, the jumbo strays towards the halted vehicles and makes its way across the street. Following this, the mammal moves towards the residential area, where several locals gather to behold the experience.

The elephants in the region are known for straying off their corridors to look for subsistence. They often invade the residential areas, making the locals familiar with such incidents.
