Poor orangutan filmed licking plastic ice cream at an Indonesian zoo
Sad moment when an orangutan licks plastic waste left over from an ice cream wrapper in Indonesia.
Footage filmed at the Bukittinggi zoo, West Sumatra province, on Sunday, October 9, shows an orangutan licking the plastic while sitting on the floor in its cage.
Ohir, a tourist who saw this moment said he was sad.
"We as humans feel sad seeing him like that. It shows on his sad face," Ohir said.
According to visitors, garbage should not be in the animal cages, because there is a keeper on standby at the cage while the tourist attraction is open.
