Marijuana worth $19,639 seized in central India

The cops intercepted a car smuggling at least 100 kg (220 lbs) of marijuana worth Rs 15 lakh (USD 19,639) in central India's Madhya Pradesh on March 22. The incident took place in the Nurabad village, located in the Morena district.

Visuals feature cops discovering a hidden compartment in the back of the car. They lift an iron sheet from above it, revealing several packets containing the illicit marijuana.

According to reports, acting on a tip, the Nurabad police officials intercepted a car going from Gwalior to Delhi. Moreover, they seized the marijuana and arrested two people in the case who allegedly bought the contraband from Odisha.
