Nimble cops save man from bring dragged under a moving train in eastern India
Alert cops reacted quickly to save the life of a passenger who slipped while trying to board a moving train in eastern India's Jharkhand.
The incident took place at the Tatanagar Junction railway station in Jamshedpur city of the state on April 23.
Visuals showed the passenger running with a bottle of water in his hand, while trying to board the train.
Even before the man could board, an intuitive policeman ran towards him, from the other direction, fearing an untoward incident.
As it turned out, the cop was right. The passenger did slip and would have gone under the wheels of the train, if it wasn't for two alert cops, who pulled him away from danger, while risking their own life.
The cops have been identified as SI R A Singh and ASI A L Rajak. They were patrolling platform number four and five at the time of the incident.
The passenger, Pravanshu Shekhar, 66, had deboarded the Ispat Express at the station to buy a bottle of water. He was late to return back and had to resort to running in order to board the compartment, ensuing the incident.
