This CCTV footage, which was filmed today (June 18), shows a Railway Protection Force officer saving a woman's life as she tries to cross a railway track while a train is approaching the station.

This happened at the Lalitpur Junction in India's Uttar Pradesh.

The video features images of the officer, Kamlesh Kumar Dubey, seeing the train approaching and moving his hands to warn the woman not to cross the railway track. He ordered her to stay where she was but she ignored his instructions and crossed.

Dubey quickly grabs the woman and pulls her up just in time as the train arrives. He shows quick reflexes and manages to rescue her in the blink of an eye.

The name of the woman is Ramsakhi Tiwari. She is 65 years and is a resident of the village Padaria, Satai district.

After seeing the miraculous rescue of Tiwari, passengers at the scene saluted the efforts of the officers.

An alert cop saved the life of an elderly woman who tried to cross a railway track while a train was approaching in northern India's Uttar Pradesh.

The incident took place at the Lalitpur Junction of the eponymous district on June 18.

Visuals, captured on CCTV camera, showed that first the RPF personnel, seeing the train approaching, gestured to the woman to stop at her place by pointing his hand. When the woman came forward, he told her to step back, but she kept on moving forward.

The woman then attempted to run and cross the railway track. By then it was too late as the train had come very close. The RPF personnel quickly grabbed the woman by her hand and pulled her up. Within five seconds, the train crossed that place.

Speaking to Newslions, sub-inspector Ankit Kumar said that Head Constable Kamlesh Kumar Dubey, posted on platform duty at Lalitpur Railway Station, was present when train no.12121 (MP Sampark Kranti) entered the station premises. He showed quick reflexes and presence of mind, saving the woman by holding her hand and pulling her in the blink of an eye.

The spirit of RPF was saluted by the passengers present on the spot and they were described as protectors during train journeys.

The name of the said elderly woman passenger is Ramsakhi Tiwari, wife of Ramsjivan Tiwari. Aged about 65 years, she is a resident of village-Padaria police station, Satai district.
