Officials rescued a snake that strayed inside a house in central India's Madhya Pradesh.

The incident took place in Sarni of Ghoradongri tehsil of the Betul district on August 24.

Visuals showed a man holding a long rod with a hook-like ending, trying to catch the python. He moved the rod a few times before getting hold of the snake. He then held the snake by its tail and put it inside a jute bag before releasing it into the jungle later.

According to reports, Sumit Hurmade, a resident of Sarni city, lost his senses when he saw the giant python in his bathroom. He immediately informed wildlife and nature conservation activist Adil Khan. Khan reached the spot with the rescue team without delay.

It was difficult to rescue an agile and healthy reptile but Khan did not give up and after half an hour of effort, the python was safely captured. He was attacked by a giant python several times, but he did not panic and continued the rescue.

He said that a python was about 10-feet long and was sitting in the bathroom.
