This is the moment a stray kitten shocked pump attendants when it darted out of a truck at a fuel station in Thailand.

The grey moggie emerged from under the pick-up truck as it pulled over a fuel station in Nakhon Si Thammarat on July 31.

Employee Apinan spotted the tiny creature and tried to grab it, worried it might be crushed on the road.

Footage shows the frantic chase as station staff ran after the elusive kitty. They managed to grab it just before it could zip onto the highway.

The truck owner, Police Sub-Lieutenant Apinan Bunditkul of the Thung Yai Police Station, said the kitten had likely sneaked under the truck from somewhere else, and emerged at the station of the engine's heat.

The fuel station attendants said they have decided to adopt the kitten, naming it 'Chao Woon.'
