A husband removed a cat that was stuck under the engine of a car.

Nateaupsorn Chumkhokamon and his wife were told by a worried neighbour that a moggy had been crying inside the vehicle, so he crawled underneath to help save it in Chonburi province, Thailand, on October 28.

Footage shows Nateaupsorn tinkering under the sedan to search for the feline. He reached his arm through the hole and pulled it out safely.

The cat was unhurt and returned to its owner later, after it was given some food and water.

Nateaupsorn said: ‘We rescued the cat and found the owner when we posted an announcement with its pictures.'

Thailand, a largely Buddhist nation, believes that kindness towards animals should be encouraged, with temples sometimes being a safe refuge for stray cats, dogs, and even monkeys that don't have homes.
