A mother's quick actions helped alleviate her daughter's breathing trouble after a failed somersault had caused injury to her neck.

Filmed at their home in Wuhan, China's Hubei Province, the footage shows the girl having difficulty breathing after striking her neck. She was also unable to make a sound following the accident.

Fortunately, her mum arrived a few moments later and placed her down on the bed in the recovery position.

The girl was able to calm down and regain some responsiveness. She was then immediately taken to hospital.

After examination, doctors found that the girl was in a stable condition aside from some chest pain. They explained her ordeal was due to a sudden severe compression of the chest.
