Persistent vendors stand on road to invite passing drivers to their food stalls
This is the astonishing moment a car was blocked by pushy street food sellers - who stood in the road beckoning the driver to their stalls.
Footage shows dozens of workers holding pieces of paper and waving at vehicles, urging them to try their snacks in Kampot, Cambodia, on January 16.
They can be seen continuously calling out to motorists, with one woman even standing in the middle of the road, blocking their path and signalling them to park at her stall.
Locals condemned the vendors' actions, arguing that their behaviour was rude and uninviting for visitors to the town, which has become a popular destination for domestic tourists.
The driver, Sothea, said: 'I was overwhelmed by all the sales pitches. I wasn't hungry so I didn't stop for any food, but I felt like I should do. They were very aggressive.'
A resident added: 'Tourists must feel welcome and not threatened by what we are doing. They are our guests, and we should let them choose where they want to go.'
