This is the shocking moment a tree snake was seen scaling a family's wooden home.

An insurance broker visiting the property spotted the serpent slithering on the second floor in Udon Thani, Thailand, on April 28.

Dramatic footage shows the green vine snake on the house's exterior.

Worried that the reptile might enter the home, the resident quickly grabbed a long stick and attempted to prod the animal off the wall.

Eventually, the snake fell to the ground. The family's pet dog then rushed in to protect its owner, attacking the reptile and ultimately killing it.

The green vine snake is a non-venomous species known for its slender, green body and tree-dwelling habits. Found primarily in Southeast Asia, it is harmless to humans but can pose a threat to smaller animals.
