SALINA, Kan. — The Kansas Highway Patrol is urging drivers to be more cautious around semi-trucks after releasing dashcam footage showing a car recklessly passing a truck on the shoulder.

Shared by Doug Bradley Trucking, Inc., the video highlights the real dangers truck drivers face daily on Kansas roads. Troop C emphasized that while many blame large trucks in collisions, studies show passenger vehicles are at fault in 80 to 85 percent of crashes involving semis.

"Semis are big. They don’t stop quick," the post stated. "Give them space. Be patient. Drive smart."

The Kansas Highway Patrol thanked Doug Bradley Trucking for its partnership and expressed appreciation for professional truck drivers who prioritize safety on the road.
