HARRISONVILLE, Mo. — A potentially dangerous crash at a local car wash ended without injury Thursday evening, thanks to swift action from Harrisonville police and the cooperation of business staff.

At approximately 6 p.m. on June 26, 2025, officers from the Harrisonville Police Department responded to Tunnel Vision Express Car Wash, located at 1805 N. Commercial St., following reports of a motor vehicle collision. Upon investigation, officers determined that the driver involved was under the influence of alcohol.

The driver was arrested at the scene for driving while intoxicated, along with other related traffic violations. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident, which police say had the potential for serious harm or even death.

“Driving under the influence is extremely dangerous and poses significant risks to the safety of our community,” the department stated in a release. “We encourage everyone to refrain from drinking and driving. Drive sober or face enforcement action.”

The Harrisonville Police Department also extended its gratitude to the Tunnel Vision staff for their assistance during the investigation.
