This is the shocking moment a tree uprooted by a storm landed on a motorcycle rider.

Jakkapun Taja was navigating the road amid strong gusts of wind when the tree planted along the roadside suddenly collapsed in Bangkok, Thailand.

Dashcam footage shows the motorist, who was wearing a helmet and raincoat, colliding with the branches as the tree plunged across the middle of the motorway on June 28.

He can be seen losing control and swerving onto the outer lane, causing the plant to drift across the asphalt in front of him.

A group of locals nearby rushed to help as the rider toppled onto the road. They lifted the motorcycle to rescue the victim, who was pinned underneath the vehicle.

The rider managed to crawl out unscathed while the kindhearted residents moved the motorbike away from the fallen tree.

Thailand is often battered by tropical storms, particularly during the monsoon season from May to October. These storms typically form in the South China Sea or the Pacific Ocean and move westward, bringing heavy rain, strong winds, and flooding.
