Deputies Help Relocate Alligator From Front Yard in Texas
HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — A surprise visitor was spotted in a front yard on Garrett Road early Tuesday morning — a full-grown alligator lounging near the front door.
Harris County Precinct 3 Constable deputies responded to the scene after a homeowner reported the large reptile. Deputies quickly called wildlife professionals, who safely and humanely removed the alligator. The animal was relocated to a secure area where it could roam freely without posing a danger to the public.
Officials reminded residents that alligators can be aggressive and should never be approached. The public is advised to avoid feeding, touching or attempting to handle wild alligators and to keep children and pets away.
