Uninvited 7-Foot Alligator Crashes Backyard Pool Party Again
JENSEN BEACH, Fla. — A 7-foot alligator caused a splash in a Pinecrest Lakes neighborhood after crashing a backyard pool party — for the second time in one day.
Deputy Dawn Ferris and Sgt. Crystal Nash with the Martin County Sheriff’s Office responded to the unusual call, where they found the large reptile lounging in a residential pool, seemingly unbothered by its surprise audience.
Professional trapper Matt Hines was called to safely remove the gator. Officials believe it entered the yard by climbing over or slipping under a fence. The incident marks the second such occurrence in the area that day.
Authorities are reminding residents that alligator activity increases during mating season, and they may appear in unexpected places. Pet owners and residents are urged to stay alert and never approach wild gators.
