A 40-year-old woman who was squatting on a toilet in a train slipped and got her right leg stuck inside the commode in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
Benjanki Bharatma, a resident of Vemanapalli in neighbouring Telangana state, lives and works in Chennai. She was on her way home on Charminar Express when the incident happened (January 29).
Unable to take her leg out of the commode, the woman started crying for help. Fellow passengers and railways staff members also tried to help her but to no avail.
The railway police rushed to the scene and cut the steel commode with a cutter. The operation took around 30 mins.
The woman suffered only a few gashes on her legs and was allowed to carry on with her journey.
