Forest officials, firefighters rescue deer from deep dry well in southern India's Tamil Nadu

A deer was rescued from a dry well by forest officials and firefighters after it accidentally fell inside the facility in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu.

The incident took place in Rasipuram of Namakkal district on May 16.

The video shows, a firefighter lowering himself inside the well. Next, he ties a cloth around the deer's mouth and a rope around its body.

The animal is then pulled out by other rescuers. Once out, the rescuers pat the deer's stomach and check for injuries.

According to the reports, the residents on noticing the deer in the well informed the forest officials and fire department who arrived and rescued the deer.

It was later released into a nearby forest range.
