The former South African President Jacob Zuma has been granted medical parole on September 5, 2021.

Zuma had served just over a month in jail of his 15 month sentence for contempt of court after failing to attend the commission into state capture.

Zuma is expected to complete the remainder of his sentence under correctional supervision.

According to correctional services he will complete the remainder of his sentence under correctional supervision. Parole has been granted after a medical report was presented to the Department of Correctional Services.
