CCTV footage shows the accident occurred at 11:48 am, Saturday, September 18, on the Bukittinggi – Padang Panjang highway, 6th KM Sungai Buluah, Agam district, West Sumatra province.

The green truck transports the uncontrolled container by the driver at high speed pushing the yellow truck.

That container truck continued to hit cars, motorbikes and stalls on the road side then plunged into a pond.

Local residents approach a minibus that overturned on the road side after being hit by a truck. Locals rescued the minibus driver and his three children who survived, although they suffered minor injuries.

The Banuhampu police chief, Adjunct Commissioner of Police M. Rosidi, said that 9 vehicles were involved in a collision. The police have arrested the truck drivers.

"According to the driver, he avoided a turning public transport minibus then he swerved to the left to go down a rice ravine, but couldn't because there was a big rock. He turned the steering wheel to the right but the truck engine off suddenly so the brakes and steering didn't work," AKP. M.Rosidi added to the interview with the media.

There were no casualties in this incident. Eight of the injured were taken to hospital. Some of the victims have been allowed to go home for outpatient treatment.
