This sneaky elephant was captured easily climbing over a fence in Bandipur National Park designed to keep it out.

Footage from November 14 shows the huge mammal scale the iron fence before sliding the rest of its body over the structure.

The fences are designed to stop roaming animals wandering into the nearby villages for food.

Karnataka Forest Department has erected iron fences at the perimeter of Bandipur National Forest to stop wild animals especially from coming out of forest and raiding villages for food. But one elephant was frequently sighted near the villages in the vicinity of Omkara forest range. When a few forest guards kept a close watch they solved the mystery of how the elephant elephant eluded the iron fence. It simply climbed up the iron fence like an athlete and crossed over the fence looking for tastier food.
