An owl was rescued after colliding with a truck and getting trapped in the vehicle's grille in eastern China.

Video filmed in the city of Taizhou in Zhejiang Province on June 16 shows
a Eurasian eagle-owl getting stuck in the grille at the front of a truck and a man from the wildlife conservation department removing it.

According to reports, the owl suddenly flew into the truck when a driver named Zhang drove the vehicle on Shenyang–Haikou Expressway.

Zhang thought the owl must have been killed so he did not stop. However, he heard the owl's wings moving later.

Zhang then stopped his truck to check and found the owl got trapped in the grille.

Zhang called the highway police and the police contacted the wildlife conservation department to come to free the owl.

The owl was rescued successfully and was taken away by the wildlife conservation department to be treated.

They will release the owl back to nature after it recovers.
