The Hemet Fire Department in California responded to reports of a traffic collision involving two vehicles yesterday at 10:40PM local time.

Rescue teams located a white Pickup truck with major front end damage crashed into the rear end of a larger black GMC pickup.

The GMC was pushed onto the sidewalk by the impact and ran over two people who were standing in front of it, trapping the two victims underneath the vehicle.

The two were part of a group of six who according to witnesses, were leaving a social gathering and were loading their pickup getting ready to take off to their home in Los Angeles before the crash occurred.

Firefighters and Hemet Police officers used a floor jack to attempt to raise the pickup enough to free the two victims. However, witnesses who were watching the scene from their backyard stated that the victims were deceased due to the visible extent of their injuries.

Although no official info has been released as of this moment regarding any fatality, a child possibly under 10 years old was inside the white Pickup when it crashed. He was injured and taken to a local hospital for treatment.
