Large python found coiled inside coop while terrified ducks tremble in the corner
A large python was found coiled inside a coop while terrified ducks trembled in the corner.
The serpent could barely move after eating two young ducklings inside a net enclosure at a farm in Songkhla province, Thailand on May 4.
After raiding the birds at night, caretakers found it in the morning with the water basin overturned and eggs lying around inside the coop.
Footage shows the 6ft-long snake resting hours after its heavy meal. The ducks stayed on the other side away from the predator as a local used a stick to pull it out.
Resident Bee Prathumwan said: ‘This snake had been stealing birds from us. That night, it ate two and could not move away easily so we found it still inside the cage.'
The creature was turned over to local wildlife officers unhurt and was later released into its habitat.
Meanwhile, Bee said they would build stronger nets around the coops to keep the snakes from eating their birds.
