Chinese boy prevents father's fall by holding broken ladder steady
A 6-year-old boy held a broken ladder steady, saving his father from a fall in northern China.
The CCTV footage was filmed in Xingtai City in Hebei Province on June 27.
A ladder suddenly broke when a man attempted to climb down. His son, who held the ladder for him then maintained a firm grip on the compromised ladder, preventing it from slipping with his foot, all in a bid to ensure his father's safety.
The man named Du was reportedly repairing a sunshade net when he realised the ladder was splitting apart beneath him.
Despite his tender age, the boy held his ground, refusing to let go until his father had safely made it to the ground.
Du remarked on his son's bravery, expressing his admiration for his young boy. "My son is only six years old," he stated, adding, "I feel extremely gratified by his actions."
