Customs officials recover gold from passenger in southern India

Officials of the Hyderabad customs intercepted a passenger and recovered gold worth Rs 11.72 lakh (USD 14,079.83) in southern India's Telangana.

This incident happened at the Rajiv Gandhi International airport on October 20.

Vishal showed the gold being recovered by the Hyderabad customs officials from a vest the passenger was wearing.

He tore open the vest to reveal the gold which was in dust form, stuck to the garment. According to a report, a gold chain was also recovered.

The total weight of gold recovered was 190 grams (0.418878 lbs).
