Fishermen in China were rescued after plunging through thin ice on a frozen reservoir.

The footage shows the group of anglers unable to pull themselves out of the freezing water as people rushed to their rescue.

Some of them managed to swim to the shore, and then yell at the ones stuck in the middle of the reservoir in order to give them advice on how to reach the bank as well.

Despite having attempted to climb onto the ice several times, some of the anglers repeatedly fell through again, as seen in the video.

Police said that nobody was injured in the incident at the Miyun Reservoir, straddling the Chao River and Bai River in Beijing, China.

The Miyun Reservoir, which was formally completed in 1960, is the largest comprehensive water conservancy project in North China.
