The fire was very severe in the midst of a major flood disaster in Indonesia, 3 heads of flood victim families lost their homes

This unfortunate incident occurred on Thursday evening, 13 June 2024 at 22.00 WITA, in Tinakin Laut Village, Banggai District, Banggai Laut Regency, Central Sulawesi, Indonesia.

The source of the fire is thought to have come from a semi-permanent house belonging to the Aspar family which was thought to have short-circuited due to a power outage due to the electricity substation being damaged by the flood.

The fire spread very quickly and burned down the house where Linda's family was selling, and the house belonging to Efi's family also caught fire in the kitchen and half of the body of the house.

There were no casualties in this unfortunate incident, but the police carried out an inspection and investigated the exact cause of the terrible fire.

"There were no casualties in this incident, but this is a very sad incident because the fire affected the flood victims, we are all still affected by the flood which has not yet receded," said the Head of the Banggai sector police, AKP Gimanto.

The fire was extinguished after approximately one hour, officers and residents struggled to extinguish the fire amidst the flood disaster conditions.

Meanwhile, it is known that on Thursday 13 June 2024 this afternoon, Banggai district was hit by a natural disaster, a major flood which submerged three sub-districts at once and hundreds of residents' houses were flooded, including Banggai sub-district where the fire occurred.
