A man in Lubuk Basung, Agam, was determined to climb a Sutet tower tens of meters high. The man in his 30s is thought to be stressed because his wife and children left him. Head of PMI Agam Headquarters, Ade Alfani, said that this man had been determined to climb the tower since Sunday afternoon, August 25 2024. "This man climbed a 35 meter high tower and tried to end his life," explained Ade, Monday Ade Alfani said that after this incident a team of officers came to the location to evacuate the victim. This man, said Ade, initially didn't want to come down even though he had been persuaded and he also threatened to hold onto an electric cable. Finally, in the middle of the night, officers managed to persuade and evacuate the victim down. However, this man still suffered burns due to electric shock. "The information is that he received 50 percent burns, now he has been referred to Padang," said Ade.
