A house collapsed into a cliff when heavy rains triggered a landslide in the Philipines.

The concrete home's foundation was weakened by hours of storm and slipped down a slope in Camarines Norte province, on December 10.

Footage shows the house plunging downhill. Its windows and walls subsided and crumbled into a heap of rubble.

Residents were evacuated, so no one was hurt, while shocked neighbours watched from the other side of the street.

An onlooker said: 'The road has been closed off, too. Parts of it were damaged from the nonstop raining.'

Local officials cordoned off the road outside, and families from nearby homes were taken to a temporary shelter, where they would stay until the weather improved.

A shear line of weather and the northeast monsoon brought heavy rains and thunderstorms to the northern regions of the tropical country this week.
