A clumsy passenger fell from a moving train before being pulled to safety in India.

The incident occurred at Subedarganj Railway Station in the Prayagraj district of Uttar Pradesh on February 25.

Dramatic CCTV footage shows Railway Police Force (RPF) constables Kapil Kumar and Santosh Yadav rushing to assist the commuter who had fallen from the moving express.

Onlookers also helped the local, preventing him from getting trapped between the train and the platform.

Railway authorities reminded passengers to travel sensibly and avoid attempting to disembark from moving trains.

In a separate incident, a pensioner lost her balance and fell from a slowly moving coach while disembarking at Kanpur Central Station in Uttar Pradesh on January 13. Quick-thinking Constable S.R. Godara of the RPF acted swiftly to prevent a tragedy by grabbing her hand and pulling her to safety.

On November 3, a passenger fell onto the tracks at Kanpur Railway Station while trying to board a moving train. She grabbed the door handle but was dragged before falling. Onlookers pulled the emergency chain, and when the train stopped, they helped her off the tracks.

The Indian Railways serves as the largest daily traffic transporter in the country, connecting various regions of India through its extensive network.

With an average of more than 12,817 trains running daily, it plays a crucial role in transporting around 24 million passengers nationwide.

However, the country's massive population of more than a billion - many of them undeveloped - means coaches are often overcrowded, leading to travel chaos.
