A distended pythons found in hencoop in Bukittinggi, Indonesia, December 23, 2017.

On that Saturday afternoon, resident gathered to catch 4-meter python suddenly inside the rooster cage behind Nelvy (34 y.o) house on Bukik Ambacang street, at Bukittinggi city, West Sumatra.

Discovery of this large snake when Nelvy's husband, Roni would feed chickens around 5:00 p.m. He was shocked to see a snake sleeping with a circular body position in the lower hencoop. A red rooster that is usually in the cage has been lost, allegedly being a snake's prey.

They asked the neighbors to catch snakes. The snake was captured after snaring the snake's head with a rope and pipe. Residents are very careful that this snake does not die.

According to Nelvy, in the past few weeks or months they lost five roosters of bangkok type worth 3 million rupiah or about 150 GBP.

"5 large chickens were lost. Previously we thought that the chickens were eaten by ferrets or stolen. We only found out that it turned out to be a snake's prey. The one in the stomach might be bangkok chicken," Nelvy said.

Meanwhile, pythons are inserted into sacks. Then it was brought to the reptile lover community in Bukittinggi to be released again in its habitat around the Sianok Ngarai area, about 15 kilometers from the hencoop.
