A hungry elephant raided a goods truck after intercepting it on a highway in the eastern Indian state of West Bengal.

The incident took place at the border area between Jhargram and Bankura districts on April 30.

Visual showed the elephant using its trunk to pick up grains it had managed to loot from the truck.

Fortunately, the massive pachyderm kept its cool while feasting on the grains even as locals flocked to the area to witness the event.

Meanwhile, locals ventured out while throwing COVID-19 curfew for a toss.

Presently, India is undergoing a complete lockdown, forcing nearly a billion people to stay indoors.

The decision was taken to stall the spread of the deadly coronavirus, which has affected over 35,000 people in the country, as per official data.
