A joint team of the local police and Excise Department recovered illicit liquor from a 30-foot-deep pit toilet in northern India on December 9. The seizure took place in Agra's Chausingi village.

Visuals show police using ropes to draw out the liquor from inside the deep pit. The sacks can be seen loaded in a truck following the seizure.

The raid was conducted on the basis of information extracted from liquor smugglers who were arrested with seven boxes of illicit liquor a day earlier.

Inspector Vinod Kumar Pawar stated that Tinku Singh was interrogated by Pinahat police when he supplied information about the illicit liquor at his home in a pit. Excise Inspector Harsh Yadav was also involved in the raid conducted at the convict's home.

At least 45 cases of the illicit liquor were recovered during the raid and no arrests were made on the spot in connection to the raid. Further investigation in the case is ongoing.
