Storm Franklin batters the Thames Estuary with gale force winds off Kent, UK
Storm Franklin bought strong gale-force winds to the Thames Estuary - just days after Storm Eunice - this afternoon (February 21).
Winds whipped up big seas in off Sheerness, Kent, UK.

The UK Government is concerned the masts are weakening after 78 years in salt water, so plan to have them remove in this Summer, in an operation to be overseen by the UK Royal Navy.
