Staff rushed to hold onto wobbling glass cases after a magnitude 5.4 earthquake struck southern Philippines on Wednesday.

Employees ran to stabilise the fragile containers as shaking rocked the store in Koronadal City, South Cotabato province, on October 19.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit four kilometres southwest of Magsaysay town in Davao del Sur province at 4:05 p.m. local time.

It triggered class suspensions in schools near the epicentre.

No casualties or injuries were reported.
