As many as 20 residents were killed by landslides that occurred in two areas in Tana Toraja, South Sulawesi, on Saturday night (13/04/2024), some time in the last week.

Hundreds of military and police personnel were deployed to carry out the search process for the victims buried by the landslide.

Now the 20 residents who were killed by the landslide have been evacuated and laid to rest in hospital for identification.

The search was stopped because all the victims, who were previously reported by the family to have been buried by landslide material, had been found. Finally, one part of the victim's body (head) was found on Tuesday, April 16 2024 morning some time ago.

While there were 4 victims who survived, they managed to escape death when the landslide natural disaster occurred.
