Kind train driver stops journey to rescue turtle on the line
A kind train driver stopped his journey to remove a turtle that was stuck on the line.
Footage shows the locomotive 25ft (8m) away from the reptile while it was crawling through the tracks in Suphan Buri, Thailand on February 17.
The kind driver lifted the shelled animal to the side so it would not be run over.
He boarded the train again and left the area, always observant as the crew usually finds animals lurking around the tracks dangerously.
The driver said: 'We stopped to help the turtle. It looked like it was stuck. We were travelling through the Suphan Buri route.'
The turtle was unharmed and the train moved along its way.
In Thailand, many train lines run close to forests and fields, leading animals such as cows, turtles, and monkeys to inadvertently wander onto the tracks.
