All southbound lanes of Interstate 65 near exit 230 in Indiana are currently closed following a massive semi-truck fire that erupted earlier today. While the driver of the vehicle miraculously escaped without injury, the blaze caused extensive damage to the roadway, forcing a complete shutdown of the southbound lanes for an indefinite period.

Authorities from the Indiana State Police are urging drivers stuck in traffic to remain patient and avoid dangerously crossing into northbound lanes. Cleanup and repairs are expected to extend well into the night due to the severity of the fire’s impact on the road surface. Once deemed safe, law enforcement will escort traffic around the scene. This incident has drawn attention from drivers across the region and beyond, highlighting the importance of road safety and emergency response coordination.
