SEDGWICK COUNTY, Kan. — A Kansas Highway Patrol trooper quickly assisted a stranded motorist thanks to a recent donation of new tools aimed at enhancing roadside response capabilities.

Master Trooper Makings used the equipment to help get the driver safely back on the road. The tools were donated through a community effort led by Sedgwick County Lt. Jason Gill, who identified the need and organized support.

Contributors included Grouse Valley Equipment, Darcie Randall, DEWALT and Stanley Black & Decker representative Duane Jones, and numerous local citizens.

“Service is at the heart of what we do,” the Kansas Highway Patrol stated, emphasizing the importance of community partnerships in supporting public safety efforts across the state.
