STONY POINT, N.Y. — A young fawn is safe thanks to the quick action of a Stony Point police officer who stepped in during an unexpected weekend rescue.
Officer D’Alisera responded to a resident’s call reporting a fawn struggling to stay afloat in a backyard pool. Upon arrival, he carefully guided the distressed animal out of the water and ensured it was unharmed.
The fawn appeared uninjured and was seen returning to nearby woods shortly after.
