THURSTON COUNTY, Wash. — Dash cam footage released by the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office shows the dramatic end to a pursuit involving a stolen vehicle and a suspect with multiple warrants.

The chase concluded safely when deputies deployed a Grappler device to stop the fleeing vehicle. The suspect was taken into custody and booked on charges of possession of a stolen vehicle and attempting to elude law enforcement.

Officials noted that no injuries or property damage occurred during the incident. The sheriff’s office also highlighted a moment in the video where a deputy reminded themselves to breathe—a technique taught in pursuit training to combat tunnel vision and improve decision-making under pressure.
