Raccoon Rescued From Roof With Tin Can Stuck
SOUTH LYON, Mich. — A curious raccoon is breathing a little easier thanks to the South Lyon Fire Department.
On the morning of Aug. 1, firefighters responded to an unusual emergency involving a raccoon stuck on a roof — with a tin can lodged on its head. The animal appeared visibly distressed but was safely rescued by the department’s morning crew.
“Emergencies come in all shapes, sizes and species,” the department shared on Facebook. The raccoon, now free of the can, looked “happy” as it scampered away, bringing a lighthearted end to an otherwise tricky situation.
