Passer-by uses plastic bottle to rescue injured cobra
This the remarkable moment a man used a plastic bottle to rescue an injured cobra from a road in southern India.
The reptile lay injured in the middle of the road in Karnakata state after it was run over by a bike.
The incident disrupted traffic as vehicles tried to move aside to avoid the creature.
A passer-by stepped in to rescue it.
He lifted the cobra and gently pushed it inside a plastic bottle and took it away to release it in a forest.
Eyewitnesses Shekar Kumar said: “The man knew to how to handle the cobra. It was fortunate that he was passing by.”
The incident occurred on the Koodligi-Hospet road on October 2.
