A major tragedy was averted when cops of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) rescued a woman and her three-year-old daughter after they fell beneath a moving train while deboarding in northern India's Uttar Pradesh on September 19. The incident took place at Lucknow's Charbagh Railway Station.

CCTV footage features the woman, along with her child in the arms, attempting to get off the moving train, following which she slips and gets dragged along the locomotive. Within seconds, she falls under the moving train with her daughter, resulting in a deadly scenario. Meanwhile, the frantic passengers on the platform rush towards the track in an attempt to save the duo as their life begins to fade in front of their eyes.

The woman boarded the parked Garib Rath Express train to use the bathroom for her minor daughter. However, the train began to move before they could get off safely, following which the woman panicked and tried to deboard the moving locomotive. Unfortunately, she slipped and fell under the train, along with her daughter, while passengers present at the station raised an alarm, following which RPF constable Sunil Jaiswal entered the train and pulled the chain to stop it. After a while, another RPF constable, Virendra Kumar Yadav, rescued the mother-daughter duo.
