This is the shocking moment a roll of foam fell from a truck - landing straight onto a mother and daughter riding a motorcycle.

The pair were travelling through a narrow road when one of the large tubes toppled off the lorry and struck them mid-ride in Ningbo, China.

CCTV footage shows the massive package plunging directly onto the pair, causing them to crash onto the asphalt.

The teenager can be seen landing on her mother, who hit the ground face-first on June 23.

Moments later, the girl helped lift her injured mother, while the truck driver, who had been adjusting a tarpaulin nearby, rushed to check on them.

Local media reported that the woman was taking her daughter to work after lunch when the accident occurred. The mother reportedly suffered a broken arm while the daughter was unhurt.

Police reported that the truck belonged to a company in Cixi that manufactures pearl cotton and speculated that the insurance company is unlikely to offer compensation due to negligence.
