SEATTLE — A 34-foot Tollycraft boat was destroyed in a fire on Lake Union on June 25, prompting a swift response from the Seattle Police Department’s Harbor Unit and Seattle Fire Department crews.

Just after 4:20 p.m., 911 dispatchers received multiple calls reporting flames near the 2100 block of Westlake Avenue North. Harbor Unit officers quickly responded, navigating a department boat toward the scene. Upon arrival, they found the vessel engulfed in flames, with parts of a nearby marina roof also burning.

Working alongside fire crews, officers helped suppress the blaze until firefighters assumed control. The agencies successfully prevented the fire from spreading beyond the boat and adjacent roof structure.

The Tollycraft was deemed a total loss and later sank due to fire damage.
