This is the tense moment a huge python was spotted coiling around phone lines as it stalked birds.

Kittiporn Pongthao saw the reticulated python inching toward a flock of spotted doves perched on the cable lines in Bangkok, Thailand.

Footage shows the snake carefully slithering to prevent the avians from flying away on August 9.

Meanwhile, the feathered creatures can be seen remaining still, lounging on the wires, seemingly unfazed by the nearby predator.

Pythons are non-venomous constrictors known for ambushing their prey and wrapping around it to suffocate it.

These snakes often wander into residential areas in search of food, especially during the hot season when their natural habitats are disturbed.
